A day in Morrinsville 2026

 It was a cold winter's day the day the Dazzle family went to Morrinsville.

They walked through the streets looking at the different painted life size cow statues. They were told there is now a bull statue that is life size but they didn't see it the day they visited.

They went to the Annah Stretton Cafe for lunch. The June newsletter features photos of floral swim suits for women.

Their life size cow statue was in the cafe.

They had another cow in another room.

This is an Annah Stretton apron that Joy brought.

After lunch they visited the Morrinsville Art Gallery.

Cabbage Patch Kids Lil' Sprouts dolls

 

Hana and Patty are enjoying the time riding their ponies.

Today the girls are reading out aloud the the Little Golden book called Xavier's Birthday Surprise! 

 Emerald and Roxanne are standing by the Limited Edition block of chocolate made by Whittaker's. The chocolate flavour is Banana caramel and was available in January 2026.

Pansy and Lily are visiting the Cat Rescue Centre. 

Sara and Rose are standing next to the empty Cabbage Patch Kids Cologne  bottle.

Maree and Lily are playing with the toy bricks which was a promotion available from the Woolworths supermarket in February 2026. 

Raylene, Sara and and Maree are playing hairdressers and are doing each others hair.

The girls are at the 10.00 am Anzac service to remember the soldiers who have fought in the wars for our peace.

Amongst the Flowers

 The girls are at a garden looking at the different colour flowers.

Sonia is sitting above the gardenia flower.

All the girls are by the flowering Peace Lily pot plant.

The girls are hiding behind the pink frilly camellia flowers.

The  theme at the children's group this week is remembering and soldiers who fought in World War 1 and 2. They are going to make and poppies with red crepe paper, black crepe paper for the center and  green pipe cleaners for the  stem. Anzac day is the 25th April 2026.

A Day at the Park 2026

 Today Sheree is going to the park where she will meet Sonia, Stella and Samara.

When they arrive at the park the girls put their food and drink bottles on the rug to have after they have finished playing on the things.

They all run over to the climbing frame first and Samara is the first to climb to the top. They don't see the snail nearby.

When they have had enough of climbing on the frame they go to the see-saws.

Next they run to the swing and Sheree jumps on the swing and Samara gives her a push.

Sonia goes down the slide and Sheree is behind her and slides down before Sonia can move off the end of the slide. Sonia is knocked down by Sheree. Stella and Samara are telling the snail to go away when they hear Sonia crying.

Stella and Samara run over to the slide and see that Sonia has bumped her head on the ground when she was pushed off the slide by Sheree and now has a bleeding nose. Samara tells Sonia to lie down. Sheree apologies to Sonia for coming down the slide when she was still sitting at the end. The girls decided to go the toilet to get some toilet paper so Sonia can hold it under her nose.

The girls all walk to the toilet at the park. Sonia has some toilet paper now to hold over her nose. After a while her nose stops bleeding. They then decide to go back to where they left their food and drinks on the rug.

They arrive back to where they left their things and discover a snail has up turned the food and drinks and is eating the custard and whip cream desert in the container. They pick up their things and go home. This day at the park hasn't gone as well as they expected.

Sonia has a Holiday at Sheree's House

 

Sonia loves going to Sheree's home for a holiday because Sheree has a playhouse outside.

Inside the playhouse house there is a child's size table and two chairs plus Sheree's dolls and some toys.

The first evening when they went to bed Sheree's mother came to the bedroom door at 11.00pm and told the girls to stop talking. They will have plenty of time to talk tomorrow.

The next day Sonia and Sheree go to a public swimming pool to have a swim.

Sonia has jumped off the diving board into the pool and she waits for Sheree to do the same.

Sheree and Sonia have had enough playing in the pool and are now sunbathing to dry their swimming costumes.

The girls are now dry and sit on the chairs and have the drinks they brought with them.

On day two the girls go to a farm where you can have a donkey ride. Derek leads the donkeys around but has stepped aside for the photo.

They have also been allowed to go into the paddock with the mother and baby donkey.

On day three they go to the park to meet two All Blacks who play rugby for New Zealand. The All Blacks encourage the girls to practice kicking the rugby ball.

On day four they girls go to the area where the tuatara live. They are so happy to see some tuataras sunning themselves on the rocks.

This is the morning Sonia is going home. Sonya has had a lovely holiday and is looking forward to see Sheree at school after the summer holidays next year. (This is a two car door so Sonya's father has moved out the way so Sonya can climb into the back seat).

The Donkeys - part 4

Derek and Andrea have unloaded Annie the donkey from the float. Annie is going be one of the donkeys who the children will be able to ride on Sunday afternoon.

Jonathan and Esther have arrived back to Kowhai Corner after picking up the guests who will staying with them for the weekend. The guests have been invited to the first open day at the farm for donkey rides.

  Derek has been focusing on the donkeys as Andrea has instructed. Andrea has been coming back to the farm at the weekends and stays in her cottage. She also has been working with the donkeys and on Sunday afternoon they are going to have donkey rides. It has been advertised in the local paper and there is going to be a special guest arriving.

                                     

Andrea and Derek are having afternoon at Jonathon and Esther's house with the invited guests. They are discussing the plan of how the donkey rides will happen tomorrow afternoon.

Auntie Iris is with Pollyanna, (the special guest), to have the first ride on a donkey on the open day of donkey rides at Andrea's farm.

Pollyanna has loved her ride on the donkey named Annie.

Derek's daughter, Rebecca, is next on Brownlee, led by Bill. Each rider is accompanied by Derek or Bill as a safety precaution.

Daniel is having a ride on Annie who is loving giving the children rides.

Next is his sister, Martha having a ride on Shrek the donkey.

Simon is on the far right.

David and Maree have just come back from their donkey ride. Many Children have had donkey rides and this will continue every Sunday afternoon and during the school holidays on the afternoons.
